A psychological approach that combines counselling, coaching and Inner Child Work.
My work combines psychological counselling, coaching, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Inner Child Work. Together, we look beneath the visible problem and explore the patterns, beliefs and protective strategies behind it.
Real change happens beneath the surface
The three levels
Understanding
You recognise emotional patterns, beliefs and recurring behaviours.
Regulate
You’ll learn to deal with your thoughts, feelings and inner tension in a different way.
Taking action
You translate insights into value-driven decisions and concrete steps.
For me, change doesn’t start with quick tips, but with a better understanding of what’s happening inside and out. Many issues first become apparent in everyday life: at work, in relationships, when under stress, or when faced with recurring decisions. But it’s often not enough to tackle just the visible problem. Perhaps you carry on functioning on the outside, even though things are getting tight on the inside.
ACT and Inner Child Work are connected.
With ACT, you learn to recognise your thoughts and feelings without letting them completely control you. The focus is on regaining your ability to act, even when you’re feeling anxious, doubtful or stressed.
Methodological basis
Working with the inner child helps us to better understand past emotional experiences. Many of the reactions we have today were once sensible coping strategies. In the present, however, they can make us feel constricted, put a strain on relationships or block our decision-making.

My working method is based primarily on two approaches that complement each other well.
Thoughts, feelings and physical reactions are connected.
A holistic view
Mind
We look at the thoughts, beliefs and inner narratives that shape your perception.
Body
You’ll learn to be more aware of your body’s signals and to regulate yourself in stressful situations.
Meaning
We’ll work out what matters to you and which decisions feel right for you.
Psychological work does not only happen in the mind. Thoughts, emotions, body signals and behaviour influence each other. That is why I look at mental, emotional and physical levels together.
Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.
ARISTOTELES
When the job is just the tip of the iceberg.
Imagine waking up every morning with a heavy feeling in your stomach. Work feels pointless, and no matter how hard you try to motivate yourself, you feel stuck and empty inside.
At first glance, this might look like simple job dissatisfaction. But if we look deeper, a pattern emerges: You often seek out safe roles, avoid conflict and hold back from expressing your true ideas or needs – not just at work, but in relationships too.
Through ICW, we trace the emotional origins of these patterns. Perhaps you grew up in an environment where approval was conditional, and expressing your needs led to rejection. As a child, you learnt to keep quiet, not to take up space, and to prioritise safety above all else. These early experiences have become ingrained in you as beliefs such as ‘I mustn’t fail’ or ‘I can’t trust myself’ – and they continue to guide your decisions to this day, often unconsciously.
As soon as we bring these hidden dynamics into our awareness, ACT provides you with tools to move forward: you learn to accept difficult thoughts and feelings without letting them dictate your actions. You reconnect with your values – what really matters to you – and take small but meaningful steps in that direction, even when fear or stress arise.
In this way, you stop organising your life around old wounds and beliefs – and start basing it on conscious decisions.
A concrete example

This approach makes sense if you want not just to understand, but to actually act differently.
Is this right for you?
This work may be right for you if you recognise yourself in one or more of the following points:
You find yourself repeating certain relationship patterns.
You are often hard on yourself.
You carry on functioning, even though you’re struggling internally.
You feel anxiety, pressure or uncertainty when making important decisions.
You’d like to understand yourself better, but don’t want to get bogged down in endless analysis.
You’re looking for psychological counselling in Zurich or online that combines depth with practical steps.
If this approach feels relevant to your situation, let’s talk.
You don’t need to know exactly where to start just yet. Often, it’s enough simply to bring up the issue you’re currently facing. During our first session, we’ll explore together what’s on your mind and what form of support would be most appropriate.
