Psychological counselling for understanding yourself more deeply

Sometimes it is not immediately clear what is really going on. You may feel restless inside, exhausted or stuck. Perhaps your thoughts keep circling around the same themes, or certain patterns keep appearing in relationships, decisions or at work.

Stress and burnout

With my expert support and competence as a stress management coach, you can overcome high pressure and regain your balance.

Anxiety and uncertainty

Gain a deep understanding of your anxious thoughts, uncover the underlying causes and use well-developed coping mechanisms.

I give you tools to improve your communication in a focused way, resolve conflicts and develop a deeper emotional understanding within your relationship.

Relationship problems
Life transitions

Adapt to new changes such as a move, separation or career change. My psychological counselling gives you space to make sense of what's working and what the next sensible step is.

When work no longer feels right, we look at values, motivation and inner expectations. This way you can make career decisions that fit you and your life better.

What psychological counselling can help with

Psychological counselling can help you understand what lies beneath stress, anxiety, relationship patterns, self-doubt or major life changes, and support you in finding new ways to respond.

Boost your self-esteem and set healthy boundaries that support your growth and your mental health.

Who is psychological counselling for?

Psychological counselling or psychotherapy?

Psychological counselling supports you with stress, life transitions, self-leadership, relationship patterns and work-related questions. Psychotherapy is more focused on the treatment of mental disorders and usually takes place within a medical or regulated healthcare setting.

My services do not replace psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment or emergency care. If you are in an acute crisis or there is danger to yourself or others, please contact an appropriate specialist service, an emergency service or a psychiatric facility directly.

Who it suits

Psychological counselling is aimed at adults who want to understand themselves better and deal more consciously with personal or professional challenges. You don't need a diagnosis for this and you don't have to be able to put your concern into perfect words.

Typical concerns

Counselling can be a good fit if you are under stress, pressure or inner tension, are going through a private or professional transition, or want to understand recurring patterns better. It can also help with self-doubt, rumination, relationship topics or important decisions, making it easier to make sense of thoughts, feelings and next steps.

How I work

My work combines psychological counselling, coaching and scientifically grounded approaches. Among other things, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic coaching and work with inner parts.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is about relating differently to difficult thoughts and feelings, rather than fighting against them. We look at what matters to you, which inner patterns hold you back and how you can stay able to act despite uncertainty.

Cognitive behavioural therapy helps you recognise the connections between thoughts, feelings, bodily reactions and behaviour. This makes it clearer why certain reactions keep coming up and how new steps become possible in everyday life.

Through systemic coaching we also include your environment: relationships, roles, professional demands and recurring dynamics. Working with inner parts additionally helps you better understand old protective patterns, inner criticism or vulnerable sides.

This creates more self-leadership: you learn to perceive yourself more precisely, make sense of your reactions and deal more consciously with stress, decisions, relationships and professional questions.

1. Free introductory consultation

We’ll start with a free 30-minute consultation. The aim is to get to know your situation and work out together whether it would be a good idea for us to work together.

2. First meeting

During the first session, we’ll take the time to discuss your concerns, your current situation and what you’d like to change or understand better.

3. Further support

Sessions take place regularly or at longer intervals, depending on your needs. We use psychological methods, reflection and practical steps to help you in your day-to-day life.

4. In person or online

Consultations are available in person in Zurich or online. Sessions can be held in German or English.

What to know before your first conversation

Do I need a diagnosis to access psychological counselling?

No. Many people come not with a diagnosis, but with stress, insecurity, inner pressure, relationship issues or a desire to understand themselves better.

Is psychological counselling the same as psychotherapy?

No. Psychological counselling does not replace psychotherapy or medical treatment. However, it can be helpful if you want to reflect on personal topics, understand patterns and develop new steps.

Does the counselling take place in Zurich or online?

Both are possible. Sessions can take place in person in Zurich or online.

What language are the sessions held in?

Counselling is available in German or English.

How many sessions do I need?

That depends on your concern. Some topics can be sorted out well in just a few sessions. Others need more time, especially when it comes to deeper patterns or longer processes of change.
