I'm Gregor Braun, psychological counsellor, coach and co-founder of a private practice in Zürich. In my work, I support people and teams through personal and professional transitions, combining psychological expertise, coaching approaches and experience from science, consulting and organisational development.

My expertise and qualifications are verified by PsychologyToday. My approach is based on scientifically grounded methods, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), inner child work and the St. Gallen Coaching Model (SCM).

Before becoming self-employed, I worked in transformation-focused organisations, consultancies and academic settings. Among other things, I worked for international consultancies such as BCG and Quantis, as well as at educational and research institutions in Basel and St Gallen.

My work combines psychological counselling, coaching and scientifically grounded methods. I draw on approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic coaching and inner child work.

I do not look at personal topics in isolation. Stress, relationship patterns, professional questions, inner beliefs and physical responses are often more closely connected than they first appear. That is why we look together at what shows up in your everyday life, which patterns sit behind it and how you can deal with them more consciously.

The aim is greater self-leadership: to perceive yourself more clearly, make sense of your thoughts and feelings, take your values seriously and derive concrete next steps from them. Personal, professional and close to your reality.

6 Month Development Programme

The programme combines personal sessions, self-guided work with the workbook and support in everyday life. It is suitable if you do not just want to sort through individual topics, but work over time on self-awareness, regulation, values and new habits.

The workshops combine psychological foundations with reflection and practical exercises. They can be designed around topics such as resilience, change, self-leadership or conscious collaboration, and adapted to the specific context.

Workshops

Not every starting point looks the same. Some people want to begin by reflecting on their own, others are looking for longer-term support or a format for their team. That is why, alongside psychological counselling, there are further ways to work with my topics.

The workbook From Crisis to Contribution guides you through personal phases of change with reflection questions, exercises and psychological knowledge. It helps you understand your own patterns more clearly and deal more consciously with inner pressure, uncertainty and change.

What you should know before your first conversation.

What happens in the first conversation?

We begin with a free 30-minute introductory conversation. Afterwards, you decide whether and how we continue working together.

How many sessions do I need for successful therapy?

That depends on your situation and your goals. For initial orientation, 10 to 12 sessions are often enough. For deeper work, it may take longer.

Do I need a doctor’s referral or a referral from psychiatry?

No. For psychological counselling or coaching with a therapist, you do not need a doctor’s referral or a referral from psychiatry.

Is psychological counselling also useful if I do not have a clear diagnosis?

Yes. Many people do not come with a diagnosis, but with a vague sense of pressure, uncertainty or lack of direction. Psychological counselling can help you understand inner connections, recognise patterns and gain clarity, even without clearly defined symptoms.

Can I switch between online sessions and in-person appointments?

Yes. In many cases, a flexible combination of online sessions and appointments on site is possible. Together, we clarify which setting makes sense for your situation and adjust the format if needed.
